Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.
                                                 — Proverbs 3:3-4  (NIV)

Aim at heaven and you will get earth thrown in.
Aim at earth and you get neither.

A Cog in the Machine

Will Grant peered from the hangar toward the green mountains, at a rainbow stretching over Papua’s Baliem Valley—the same rainbow that had shown up for nearly a month since his family's arrival in Wamena.

"I am pretty sure that was the same rainbow God sent to Noah," said Will with a grin. "That reminds me that all we have gone through to get here was worth it."

See how you helped MAF reach isolated people with Christ's love in 2013. People received life-saving medical care, churches, pastors, and missionaries brought hope to remote villages, and entire communities were transformed—all because of the prayers, gifts, and support of MAF's faithful partners.

Pastors and church leaders are invited to experience MAF’s ministry in Haiti and discover ways their churches can partner with MAF to bring Christ’s love to isolated people.

Where: Haiti
When: October 20th-25th
Cost: $950 plus airfare, passport and vaccinations

Feb. 24 -Mar. 2, 2014

As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it … so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
                                                 — Isaiah 55:10-11  (NIV)

We need never shout across the spaces to an absent God.
He is nearer than our own soul, closer than our most secret thoughts.

A.W. Tozer, The Pursuit of God

Pray for the MAF-Learning Technologies team in Costa Rica as they help ministries across Latin American train Christian leaders and build healthy churches

  • Tuesday, February 25

  • Wednesday, February 26

Pray for missionary families that are willing to serve in countries where it may be dangerous to live. Ask the Lord to protect them and to grant them the assurance of His call and His provisions for them.

  • Thursday, February 27

Ask the Lord to bless the many generous donors who support this ministry. Their partnership with MAF is invaluable, and assures that God’s love is shared in the most remote corners of the world.

  • Friday, February 28

Praise God that MAF delivered 10,529 lbs of Bibles to Long Bawan, East Kalimantan over the last four weeks! They will be given to those who need them most.

  • Tuesday, February 18

Pray for those participating in MAF’s instructor pilot seminar this week at ministry headquarters in Nampa, Idaho.

All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us.
                                                 — 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (The Message)

“We are debtors to every man to give him the gospel in the same measure in which we have received it.”
P.F. Bresee

Pray for missionary families that have come home for furlough. Pray that they will enjoy rest and time with family while connecting with members of their support teams.

  • Tuesday, February 11

Please lift up Robby and Carol Matthews. Robby is an aircraft maintenance specialist “on-loan” to Moody Aviation in Spokane, Washington, where he is helping train the next generation of missionary aviators. Learn more about the Matthews at www.maf.org/matthews.

  • Wednesday, February 12

While MAF’s disaster relief work in the Philippines is now complete, please continue to pray for the families who are rebuilding their lives after the storm.

  • Thursday, February 13

God calls people to serve in many different capacities. Please pray for Kevin and Kim Mills who serve as dorm parents at Hillcrest International School in Indonesia. They fill the role of mom and dad for children whose parents serve as missionaries in other parts of the country. Learn more about the Mills at www.maf.org/mills.

  • Friday, February 14

Remember to pray for MAF staff in Lesotho, a land crippled by poverty, famine and HIV/AIDS. Last year alone MAF pilots executed 2,964 flights in Lesotho, transported 5,503 passengers, and delivered 215,562 pounds of cargo.

  • Saturday, February 15

MAF pilots don’t really know from one minute to the next what they will be facing. Some flights are joyous and positive, others are tragic and difficult. Pray for the pilots today, that God's Holy Spirit will protect them and prepare them for whatever is coming next.

  • Sunday, February 16

Pray that all MAF staff will be image bearers of the Father. Ask the Lord to make their lives and witness a blessing to the people they serve.
